The Volunteer Students Dispatched to the Disaster Area Gave a Presentation in "The Crisis Management of the Contemporary Society" Class of the Department of Law and Public Policy (11/11/10)

Date.

11/11/10

"The Crisis Management of The Contemporary Society" Class of The Department of Law and Public Policy (in the 2nd period on Monday) is very popular among neighbors every year, and the teachers of the Department of Law and Public Policy are giving lectures from various viewpoints on the topic of Northeast Japan Earthquake and Tsunami.

On October 31st, the First Group of Volunteer Students for the Stricken Areas (in Tono City, Iwate Pref., from September 3rd to 7th) gave a presentation.  Many of their activities were cancelled because of typhoon, so their activities in voluntary work were limited to only one day, but they talked about the importance of voluntary work and what they have acquired from their experiences.  The Second Group was to leave for the stricken areas in the evening of 31st, so their report was a heart-touching message for the students of The Second Group.

On November 7th, Hirakata City Staff gave a presentation about their supporting activities in the disaster area.  It was impressive that they talked about how to continue the successive support from different viewpoints to the students.

This class will be opened to all at 11:10 every Monday morning in the lecture room 6-301, and a large audience will be welcome. (As for detail schedules, please e-mail us as follows:)
